Heritage Xing is one of the earliest incense names from our brand, Shih Chin Yu. The name signifies incense that is passed down through generations—a tradition preserved and honored by each one.
In ancient times, incense was crafted entirely from natural raw materials. Because of this, households that burned incense experienced no air pollution. Incense served multiple purposes: worshiping deities, honoring ancestors, repelling mosquitoes, warding off evil, and protecting the family. A practice so beneficial—why not embrace it?

The Story of Heritage Xing
Heritage Xing is one of the earliest incense products developed by Shih Chin Yu. The name reflects a legacy—an incense tradition passed down from generation to generation.
During the early settlement period in Taiwan, life for the pioneers was harsh and resources were limited. Ordinary people couldn’t afford expensive incense. But despite poverty, their unwavering faith and reverence for heaven, earth, and their ancestors remained strong.
 
Back then, incense was made from the simplest materials: natural wood and common medicinal herbs. Since the chemical industry had not yet developed, all incense was naturally made. This meant no air pollution, and the incense served multiple roles—not just spiritual devotion, but also practical benefits like repelling insects and safeguarding the family.
