Having weathered the changes of time, generational transitions, and even divisions within the family,
the one thing that has never changed is the unwavering commitment to the art of incense making.

Through years of hardship and uncertainty, this legacy has finally been passed down to the eighth generation, Shi Yeh-Chih.
He continues to reflect on the seemingly conflicting yet deeply intertwined ideas of “heritage and innovation.”
How can an ancient craft—one that modern society is gradually forgetting—transform itself while preserving its timeless essence?
How can the steadfast principles of the ancestors be upheld,
while also infusing incense appreciation with a sensibility that resonates more closely with contemporary life?

Thus, Shi Jin-Yu Mu Xiang Zhai was born.

Shi Jin-Yu—a 260-year-old family of incense makers—stands for heritage.
Mu Xiang Zhai—a new creation of wellness-oriented incense for modern life—represents innovation.

Shi Jin-Yu Mu Xiang Zhai is the harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation.
